Book in Common - Discussion group for The AI Con

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is in the news everywhere these days, with stories ranging from promises of AI curing cancer to warnings that AI could destroy humanity. This year's Book in Common, The AI Con: How to Fight Big Tech's Hype and Create the Future We Want , takes a deep dive into AI: what is it exactly, who controls AI, and who benefits from it? Come join a discussion group on this year's book and its topics. The group will meet on Sep. 29 , Oct. 27 , and Dec. 1 , from 12-1 in the ARTS Collaborative Space, 227B. Even if you haven't read the book, come to listen and join in a discussion on a topic that is on everyone's minds. Please let us know you're thinking of joining us by filling out this very short form . The book can be checked out from the Meriam Library, including an e-book copy. The book is also available for purchase at the AS Bookstore and The Bookstore in downtown Chico that sells new and used books.
